The meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m. by ROG's president, George Harman.
The minutes of the December 3, 2007 meeting were amended to show that it was Calvin Reter who made the motion to oppose the request from WAWA, but request restrictions if the project is approved.
Treasurer's Report: Our bank account has been moved from PNC to Susquehanna Bank. The balance stands at $2,316.92
Elected Officials:
Dana Stein spoke briefly about the upcoming legislative session. He is hoping
to see measures that encourage the conservation of electricity and that address
the sub-prime mortgage fallout. A ROG member suggested to Dana that BG&E
be encouraged to offer the "time of use" meter that was introduced
years ago.
District 11 Night: Monday, Feb 18th in Annapolis. A carpool will be leaving
All Saints Church at 5 pm.
Committee Reports:
Police: Officers Wilson and Klein reported the good news in the end of the year
crime statistics for 2007. All three areas of robbery, burglary and auto theft
show decreases for the year.
Code Enforcement: Fred Goethe questioned the signs for the plumbing company
on the corner of E. Cherry Hill and Reisterstown Road, as well as the signs
on the "Spirit of India" store that advertise other businesses. George
expressed his desire to work with the Chamber of Commerce to establish standards
for signs in the historic district. He reminded the group that each community
should compile a list of items of concern to submit to the county code enforcement.
Hearings:
" The Reisterstown Volunteer Fire Department has received approval for
its planned expansion toward its parking lot.
" WAWA: The December 10th hearing continues on January 16th.
" January 31st: 607-609 Main Street/Walgrove. A garage expansion request
by Camden Body Shop is scheduled for a hearing.
" A motion was made by Mary Molinaro that ROG support Chartley HOA's decision
re: Camden Body Shop. The motion was approved.

Voting on the proposed changes to the Constitution and ByLaws was postponed
until the Feb 4th meeting.
