A walk down historic Main Street in Reisterstown has become a destination for antique hunters from throughout Maryland. Well over 200 years old, the town preserves much of its historic architecture in charming shops and restaurants. Area schools and new town homes also capture the small town ambiance. Innovative restorations have turned Victorian houses into locations for bookstores, consignment shops, offices for real estate agents, salons, photographers, and other small service businesses. We want to invite everyone, whether a visitor or area resident, to take a walk along Main Street. Each year in May the Franklin Middle School is the site for our Annual Bloomin ArtFest Saturday and Sunday Event. The Bloomin ArtFest Committee plan two days filled with music, beautiful art and inspired handmade crafts. Stroll among the vendor booths and check out the wide variety of beautiful art, jewelry and home décor items being offered by our talented vendors. We can’t forget the Bloomin part of their name, so check in with the flower and garden vendor. You can’t have a Bloomin ArtFest without the funnel cake, kettle corn, BBQ, pizza, burgers and hot dogs that are there to tempt your taste buds. In May, 2012 we will host the 8th Bloomin ArtFest. This year will be the 25th Annual Reisterstown Festival held at Hannah More Park where “Summer Lasts A Week Longer In Reisterstown." Come join in the fun as the tradition continues when we kick things off with our annual Parade that marches down Main Street to the Hannah More School grounds on Saturday morning. Both Days Feature: LIVE CONTINUOUS MUSIC, CRAFT & FOOD VENDORS, NEW EXPANDED CHILDREN’S AREA, POPULAR FESTIVAL MUMS, FREE GIVE-AWAYS, RAFFLES & MORE. Fireworks on Saturday night at 8:45 P.M.
