HOME SECURITY SURVEYS

As most of you already know, the Baltimore County Police Department, specifically the Outreach Teams provide the service of conducting residential security surveys for residents in the Baltimore County vicinity. The survey is completely free and is a good resource to learn about the security strengths and weaknesses of your current home, whether it be a single family home, a townhouse, or apartment/condominium type of building.

An Officer from the PC03 Outreach Team will schedule a time that is manageable by all parties involved, and the survey normally takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. Items checked are typically doors, locking mechanisms, windows, lighting, access points, and safety practices of those living in the home. A checklist is completed, and suggestions/recommendations are also provided to increase the security level of your home.

Don't become a victim of the crime of burglary. While some types of crimes are not preventable, recent statistics show that a great portion of our burglaries are resulting from doors, garages, and windows being left unlocked.

If you would like to schedule a security survey for yourself or any other concerned resident please do not hesitate to call us at 410-887-6985. We would be more then happy to provide this service for you. Also please pass this information along to homeowners in your respective neighborhoods.
