REMEMBERING PHYLISS DALY - We are planning our second fund raiser for Phyllis L. Daly Memorial Scholarship 2K Walk on Sunday October 31, 2010

CLEAN UP DATE IN CHARTLEY - October 9, 2010. Dumpsters will be set up along open area by Glyndon Elementary School from 7 AM to 11 AM.

1. Help support this young student

Our daughter is in 6th grade at Franklin Middle School. She made a poster about skin cancer prevention for her health class which was also part of a state poster contest. Her poster won the Maryland contest which won a UV level detector for the school. She is now entered in the national contest which is an online voting contest. If her poster wins, her school receives a weather station and a smart board, and our family gets trip to Disney! We thought maybe a message could be sent to the members of the association to support our daughter and the school.

To vote: 1.Go online to www.sunguardman.org. Click on the poster contest.

2. Click on "vote now" or "Vote here".

3. Click on "Check out all entries" at the bottom right of page.

4. Mary's poster is #16: Use your head, Don't get red! It is the only entry from Maryland.

The voting deadline is May 6th! It only takes a couple of minutes to vote.

2. Request from walkers.

If at all possible, please move your cars forward in the driveway so they don’t block the sidewalk forcing either children on their way to school or adults out for an exercise moment to step into the street to get around the car.
