General Meeting
April 27, 2006
The Meeting was called to order at 7:05pm, by President Mike Toohey. The meeting was held at All Saints Episcopal Church.
The minutes of the last General Meeting (October 14, 2005) were approved.
Mike greeted residents and introduced guest speaker Mr. Sebastian Cross, Attorney representing the Camden Auto Body Shop opening at 607 Main Street.
Report to Chartley Residents
Membership: 2005-2006 membership is 3ll residents; l7 for the current year, bringing to 40%. Our goal for next year is to increase to 45-50%. Therefore, we are encouraging residents to become members of CHA if they have not done so.
Lighting of Glyndon Drive: Baltimore County has completed the lighting project on Glyndon Drive. CHA members voiced their approval.
Questions were raised as to when Walgrove Road can expect lightssurvey will begin early 2007. Walgrove Road residents are anxious for the project to begin.
Community Clean-up Day: Saturday, June 10th between 7:00-ll:00am dumpsters will be dropped at Bond Avenue and Glyndon Drive. Dumpsters will be available for material which the weekly curb-side trash collectors cannot take. NO HAZARDOUS MATERIAL CAN BE ACCEPTED.
ROTC students from Franklin Senior School will be on hand to help with the heavy work. We still need volunteers for supervising and administrative duties, whether for the full four hours or with less.
Zoning Sweep: The letter has been sent requesting a zoning sweep from Baltimore County and Chartley residents will be notified when a date is selected.
Scholarship Award: A student has been selected and the name will be announced in the summer after the award is presented.
COP Night-Out: Tuesday, August 1st will be the CHA COP Night-out event and will be held at the Reisterstown Elementary School. The event will be scaled back this year. Ideas and volunteers are needed. Updates will be provided as developed.

Guest Speaker: Mr. Sebastian Cross, representing Camden Body Shop, explained that he wanted to update Chartley residents. He indicated that Agreements with CHA and the residents along Piper Road had been met. (Mr. Payne, representing the Piper Residents, stood and also agreed that the Agreements had been accomplished). There remains the formalizing of the covenants and some landscaping details to be finished. A motion was made and approved to table the formalization of the covenants until Mike has reviewed and brought before the Board.
Mr. Mordehai Gur, Camden Body Shop owner, responding to questions regarding adjacent properties of the CBS and the Royal Farm Store stated that negotiations are on-going with the County and no decisions have been made.
Election of Officers: The following nominees were approved for officer positions in the coming year:

Old Business:
The 3d Community Sign is still pending.
Culvert is on track.
Open Forum:
Concern was expressed over the loss of businesses in the communitytoo many empty/bare stores. Can anything be done? Mary Molinaro stated that she had attended a ROG meeting where a county representative for the Northwest Area said he would be attending a business fair and encouraging business to come to the Reisterstown area. Mike Toohey suggested a more pro-active approach and asked for volunteers to write letters and contact potential businesses encouraging them to come to our area.
